Ostara was born from the belief that every birthing person deserves to feel fully informed, cared for and self-empowered throughout pregnancy, labor and postpartum. Every body is different, and so is every birth. I offer a combination of evidence based information and holistic alternative care to keep you feeling knowledgeable and nourished, no matter what your birth looks like.

What I offer as your doula...

Informational support

Pregnancy and a growing family comes with lots of new emotion, experiences and options.  I’ll be there for you every step of the way to discuss it all as it arises, design your ideal birth preferences and 

help you gain an understanding of and confidence in your choices.

Physical support

Emotional support

Pregnancy is an emotionally charged time. An area my care as your doula shines is holding extra space for all the ups and downs you may experience during this transitional time for you and your growing family. 

Partner + Family

support

Partners need and deserve support, too. A doula can enhance your partner and family’s ability to be deeply involved in the pregnancy and birth. I’m tuned into a partner’s needs throughout the experience, whether it is pointers for hands on labor support, a listening ear, or cup of joe during a long labor.

Advocacy

Your body, your birth!

 I'm here to support you to feel self-empowered and strong in your choices and your body.  I care not how you choose to birth. I do care deeply that you feel heard, know your options and have the confidence and support to choose what is best for your body and family.

Finding both strength and ease in the body is key for you and baby.  I help you to maintain this balance with comfort measures in labor such as gentle hands-on support and various positioning techniques. I'm here to bring that added focus to just what your body needs. 

Your memory of this experience matters. I bring added thoughtfulness into this time for your family. I help ensure that you can look back on your birth and know you were powerful and loved. I am present throughout to preserve those sacred moments with extra notes,  photo snapshots and heartfelt conversation.  

Herbal Support

Plants can nourish you. As a holistic herbalist I’m able to supplement your care, when appropriate, with knowledge and remedies geared toward your unique pregnancy and postpartum. 

Clients receive an Ostara family discount on all other herbal products in the apothecary through your 4th trimester.

Birth Doula Services:

  • 2 Prenatal meetings (varies depending on time of hire)

  • Phone + e-mail support from moment of hire

  • 24/7 on-call availability for your labor and birth from 37+ weeks 

  • 1 Postpartum in-home visit 

  • Access to herbal care options + support

Additional support: 

  • Knowledge of herbs + 10% discount on all Ostara Herbal Care 

  • Placenta encapsulation available

Investment: $1200 *

Additional prenatal time: $50/hour

Postpartum Doula Services: 

​

Planning for the support you'll need and deserve during your postpartum time is key to ensuring a smooth, healthy transition following your birth. I'm here for focused yet flexible care to help carry you into this new season for your family.   

​

My time as your postpartum doula can include:

  • Space for you to rest and care for you (...sleep, shower, eat!)

  • Help soothing + feeding your newborn

  • Support caring for older children

  • Tidying, light housekeeping, laundry, bottle cleaning, etc.

  • Grocery shopping, basic meal preparation, other errands

  • Herbal care knowledge + support for postpartum recovery and lactation 

       + Ostara family discount on all apothecary offerings

This can vary based on your individual needs!

Investment: $35/hr (3 hr minimum) *

Package offering: $360 for 12 hrs (scheduled at your convenience, w/ 3 hr minimums) *
